Film & Performance Consulting
I occasionally support film, television, and theatre projects that require psychological depth, emotional accuracy, or trauma-informed performance work. This is quiet, collaborative consulting for actors, writers, and directors who want to ground their creative process in the inner life of the character and the emotional realities of the story.
My approach is rooted in psychoanalytic thinking, embodied creative work, and an understanding of how performance emerges from the interplay between psyche, voice, and the body. I’m interested in helping artists access depth safely, navigate difficult material, and bring psychological truth to the screen or stage without sacrificing their own wellbeing.
What I Offer
Character psychology and emotional arc development
Script consultation on psychological themes, trauma, and relational dynamics
Trauma-informed performance support
Guidance for therapy scenes & psychological realism
Voice, breath, and somatic regulation for intense roles
Preparation and decompression for demanding emotional work
This work adapts to the needs of the project - from one-off conversations to ongoing collaboration.
What I Bring
My consulting draws on a hybrid background: A BFA in Acting, an MA in Counselling Psychology, psychoanalytic clinical training, and over seven years of teaching acting, voice, and speech. I’ve also worked as an actor and director in theatre and emerging film projects. This combination allows me to bridge psychological insight with the practical realities of performance, story, and on-set life.
If you’re working on a project that may benefit from psychological or performance support, you’re welcome to reach out.
